Happy Halloween!

And here's our lonely pumpkins in Salt Lake... :)

And for all you Big Bang fans out there, this week's quote comes to you straight from the Halloween special:

"Bazinga Punk! Now we're even."

Oct. 20th... National Holiday?

Yes.
Today is an epic National Holiday!

Happy National Day on Writing!!

"In light of the significance of writing in our national life, to draw attention to the remarkable variety of writing we engage in, and to help writers from all walks of life recognize how important writing is to their lives, NCTE (National Council of Teachers of English) established October 20 as the National Day on Writing."

(check out www.ncte.org if you're interested to know more)

In celebration of the holiday, I am posting a very old poem.
It's from my I'm-going-to-publish-a-book-of-silly-poems-like-Shel Silverstein phase.
No judging! :)

(I was going to write something new for the occasion, but the creative juices congealed under pressure.)

My Bobblehead Doll

I have a cute bobblehead doll,
who stands on my dashboard so tall.

it's head moves all around
with each and every bound.

Just for fun, I hit the brake,
so I can sit and watch it shake.

From side to side and bottom to top,
it's head moves without a pop.

In the distance I see a red light.
My heart jumps at just the sight.

I slam on the break when the lights meets my door,
and my bobblehead head falls right to the floor.

I have no use for this bobblehead bit,
so I pick up my foot and I squish it!

You may need a reminder...
No judging!! ;)
haha

And now...
I'm throwing down the gauntlet..
I challenge you all to write something on behalf of
The National Day on Writing!

PS
It doesn't have to be elaborate.
It doesn't have to be a poem,
or even creative.
Send a text.
Write down what happened to day.
Write a letter.
Blog.
Just write. :)

Big Bang or Bust

Just taking my lunch at work.
I don't really feel like doing homework, so I decided to post a quote instead.
:)

This little gem is from The Big Bang Theory

Sheldon Cooper: "I'm not saying that all senior citizens that can't master technology should be publicly flogged. But, if we made an example of one or two it might give the others incentive to try harder."

Quote of the Week!

I've collected so many quotes it's ridiculous.
I honestly have no idea what to do with them.
And obviously getting rid of them is not an option.
So...
I'm going to attempt to post a quote every week.
Hopefully I'll keep it up,
and hopefully they won't be my only posts. :)
No promises.

...Changes...

So some pretty official changes have taken place in our life since the last time I wrote.
(Not surprising, considering how often I write.)

The first change...
and biggest...

Nick and I are officially out of the first year of marriage.

For the first anniversary,
Nick provided an excellent gourmet spaghetti dinner!
(Forgot to take a picture until we were cleaning up :S)

He even did the dishes!

AND he did his hair especially for the occasion.

Not to mention that instead of eating stale cake, we got year-old rice crispy instead!
Yum! :)

Change 2:
The Move

We have officially been introduced to life in the city,
and I'm pretty sure you can refer to us as "city mice" now. :)

Nick has officially signed his life away to pharmacy school.
(He has the white coat to prove it, complete with embroidered name.)

No worries...
Nick and I have discovered that we can adapt.
Life is still good :)

Oh, and I can't forget to mention the most recent change of all:
Taylor, Alexis and I are officially five years old again!
Introducing our Thanksgiving dresses.
Big thanks to mom, who insisted. :)
