Projects & Stuff

This post will officially wrap up our summer!
Woot woot!

One day in July, I came home to this in our (very small) front room.

Nick made us our own set of corn hole boards!
(Corn Hole Toss is a backyard barbeque-esque game...similar to horse shoes. Let's call it a bean bag toss for adults....)
;)

I thought this would be the worst of it.......
but I came home to this the very next day...

Enduring the very strong smell of paint fumes for an entire week aside, I think he did a pretty good job. :):)

And he did put quite a bit of thought into them...
He chose a Utah/BYU theme for a few reasons: 1) he's a BYU fan attending the U, 2) I'm a U fan and he's a BYU fan, and 3) our court is split about 50/50 as well..and that's who we would be playing with.

And yes, of course we had a tournament to break in the new boards.

Nick even bought a trophy for fifty cents at DI.
It's definitely a female bowler, but it kind of looks like a bean bag toss trophy. :):)

Next time, Grants, next time! ;)

During General Conference this year, I made my own craft. I'm starting a tradition of doing a craft during the sessions. It gives my hands something to do while I watch. Plus, I have something cute (hopefully) by the end of the weekend.

They have already been called ghosts twice, so don't even think about calling them anything but mummies!! :):)
Did I mention that I love Halloween?

General conference was brilliant, by the way. :)

PS
Just learned about fonts on the blog! Sweet!
Also, I learned this while I was trying to figure out why my blog is taking soooo long to load. Is it taking long to load when you try to bring it up? And if so, does anybody have any suggestions for me? I feel like I've tried everything. :(:(
